Chontaquiro hails from Peru and is similar in look to Brazilian Sucupira Preta (dark Sucupira) but with slightly more color uniformity, hardness and better stability. It has a unique grain feature that some have noted as similar to Wenge in look. It can be finished with oil for a dark rich brown or with water-base for a more medium brown result. Chontaquiro is an excellent option for anyone looking for a hard and stable brown floor with good color uniformity and an elegantly beautiful grain pattern.
